Nationally recognized for its dedication to responsible gambling, the Maryland Lottery partnered with the Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling in 2025 to create an awareness campaign around the state’s at-risk populations. This important collaboration leveraged the Center’s Peer Recovery Support Specialist’s lived experience, and serves as a powerful public awareness tool in eye-opening, informative, and nonjudgmental videos. With a combined 50+ years of responsible gambling experience, staff from both the Lottery and the Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling share special strategies and insight gained from this collaboration.
