Kenneth Wolfson joined The Maryland Center of Excellence on Problem Gambling in 2017 as Maryland’s 1st Certified Gambling Peer Specialist, growing the Peer Department into the powerhouse team of help and hope it is today. He brings considerable experience to those he serves with over 32 years of recovery.

Ken assists Maryland residents struggling with problem gambling and gambling addiction providing support & treatment options, as well as serving statewide offering public speaking and presenting at the National Conference on Problem Gambling. Ken received his Peer Certification in 2013, completed Integrated Forensic Peer in 2016, became certified in 2019 as a Registered Peer Supervisor and is Certified as both a Recovery Coach and in Mental Health First Aid. Prior to joining the Center, Ken worked as a Peer with Epoch Treatment with those struggling with SUD & Alcoholism.

In 2011 he served with the Army’s 12th Battalion, and as a 23yr. Master USCG Ship Captain operating passenger cruise vessels. Ken graduated from Paris College, is a Master Jeweler & Diamond Grader, entrepreneur, has lived abroad, traveled the world, and provides a wealth of experience and insight.
