Paulette J. O'Gilvie, PhD

Paulette J. O’Gilvie, PhD is a multidisciplinary scholar and Faculty Chair & Associate Professor of Human Services at American Baptist College. Known for academic rigor, her work advances human services practice and policy to support social and emotional well-being, alongside prevention science, urban gambling, poverty, and social determinants of health. In partnership with the Tennessee Coalition for Healthy & Safe Campus Communities (CHASCo), she engages campus programs to strengthen prevention and behavioral health initiatives. Dr. O’Gilvie holds a PhD, MBA, and BFA, along with clergy certification and the CCGC credential, integrating faith-based support to address gambling harm and co-occurring mental health challenges.
