
Dr. Abby McPhail is a postdoctoral fellow at The Institute for Gambling Education and Research at the University of Memphis. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Aberdeen, her Ph.D. at the University of Memphis, and her clinical internship at the University of Texas at Tyler. Her research focuses on gambling disorder, with a focus on gambling and co-occurring substance use. She has been involved with the Gambling Clinic in Tennessee since 2019 where she has held various roles as a clinician, graduate supervisor, and in the training of new therapists. As a postdoctoral fellow she works to continue to develop the treatment materials and protocols of the Gambling Clinic to improve outcomes and retention.
