Suicide risk among individuals experiencing gambling harm is increasingly recognized as a critical clinical and public health concern. This plenary examines foundational and emerging research on gambling-related suicidality and explores how these insights translate into policy and systems-level responses. Presenters will highlight key psychological and financial risk mechanisms, challenges in clinical assessment, and a real-world example of integrating gambling into a state suicide prevention framework. Through guided discussion and reflection, participants will consider how research, practice, and advocacy intersect to inform more effective responses within their own systems.
