A Clinical Case Conference

This session will feature the presentation of several cases involving individuals undergoing treatment for gambling-related issues, followed by an informal discussion. Participants will be encouraged to explore any aspects of the cases and to raise questions or concerns relevant to their own clinical work. Particular emphasis will be placed on the conceptualization of gambling disorders and the underlying assumptions that may influence therapeutic approaches.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify the formulation of the individual impacted by problem gambling and goals of therapy.
  • Identify some common assumptions made by therapists, and how these biases can affect decisions.
