Writer, teacher, advocate, consultant, and more, Paige Huskey is also a compulsive gambler who has been in recovery since February 26, 2019. She credits Gamblers Anonymous with saving her life. After paying off her massive gambling debt, she was able to save enough money to quit her teaching job at the end of 2023. She has attended and presented at conferences on problem gambling, was selected for the Community Ambassador Collaborative through the Problem Gambling Network of Ohio (PGNO), has been volunteering with her local county’s prevention coalition, and has recently published her memoir about her gambling addiction (The Ultimate Comeback: My Secret Life as a Gambling Addict and How I Got Out Before It Was Too Late, June 2026).
