
Mackenzie Slade is the Chief Executive Officer of Gaming Public Policy Consulting (GPPC). A public health expert and trained implementation scientist, Ms. Slade specializes in markets with addictive risk potential, including gaming, cannabis, and psychedelic markets. Her work focuses on translating original research into practice; identifying opportunities for program improvement, designing and testing policy and program interventions, and evaluating outcomes through applied methodologies.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Slade has successfully planned, launched, and continuously improved strategies within vice markets for more than two dozen government clients, including tribal nations. Her expertise bridges behavioral psychology, regulatory strategy, and systems-level implementation, ensuring that public sector initiatives are not only evidence-informed but also operationally viable.
At GPPC, Ms. Slade leads a multidisciplinary research team that partners with clients across sectors to build a future in which markets with addictive risk and potential harms can be economically viable while minimizing harm. Her work advances the dual goal of market sustainability and public health protection by applying real-world social science to policy and practice.
Ms. Slade holds a Master of Public Health from UCLA and lives in New York City with her bulldog, Chicken. Ms. Slade is an inductee of the prestigious Delta Omega Public Health Honors Society.
