Conference Scholarships

NCPG Annual Conference Scholarships are designed to provide greater access to education for the problem gambling and responsible gambling field. We remain committed to providing as much assistance as we can to keep registration fees and travel costs from being a barrier to conference attendance.

Conference scholarships are designed to expand access to the NCPG Annual Conference for individuals who have limited financial resources, are new to the field, and bring unique perspectives from lived experience and/or underrepresented populations. This opportunity helps open doors for future professionals and builds a stronger, more connected field for years to come.

Scholarship Award Types

  • Main Conference Registration + Travel & Lodging Stipend of $750*
  • Main Conference Registration Only
  • Travel & Lodging Stipend of $750* Only (for lead presenters already receiving complimentary registration to the main conference)

*Note: Travel & lodging stipends are provided as a reimbursement payment after the conference upon confirmation of attendance and receipt of required documentation.

Important Dates

  • Application Opens: February 18, 2026
  • Deadline for Submission: March 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET
  • Scholarship Awards Announced: No later than May 1, 2026

Eligibility and Criteria

  • Must be a U.S resident age 18 or above.
  • NCPG members and non-members are welcome to apply.
  • Must demonstrate financial need:
  • Must demonstrate financial need, including limited access to professional development funding through their employer, institution, or other sources, and an inability to attend the conference without financial assistance.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to the field, including a clear interest in professional growth within the problem gambling and responsible gambling field, and a desire to build connections, learn best practices, and contribute to a stronger, more inclusive field.
  • Must identify with one or more of the following segments: individuals new to the field (within the first 1–5 years of a career in the problem gambling and responsible gambling field, or a student, intern, fellow, or recent graduate pursuing a related field of study); individuals with lived experience (in recovery or impacted family or community members); or individuals from underrepresented populations (those from communities historically underrepresented or underserved by problem gambling and/or responsible gambling services services, or those directly working with underrepresented populations to provide services).
