Resetting Public Awareness of the National Problem Gambling Helpline

As gambling participation expands across the United States, ensuring that people know where to find help for gambling-related harm has become increasingly important. The introduction of 1-800-MY-RESET as the new, easy to remember number for the National Problem Gambling Helpline, presented a timely opportunity to reset public awareness and strengthen understanding of where to turn for help. The initiative included consumer research to guide new messaging, development of a national brand identity, coordination across the state helpline network, and a nationwide communications rollout designed to improve recognition of the Helpline and encourage people to seek support earlier.
