Advancing Responsible Gambling Through Nationwide Benchmarking and State Level Insights

Scientific Games, in partnership with Simon Jaworski of Lotto Research, conducts one of the industry’s most robust annual Responsible Gaming studies, including more than 10,000 interviews in 2025. Built on a national baseline established in 2021, the research provides comprehensive insights into gambling behavior, public perceptions, risk factors, and awareness of support resources. With national benchmarks and optional state-level deep dives, the study helps jurisdictions identify gaps, track changes over time, and refine responsible gaming strategies. Key findings inform messaging, highlight emerging needs, and support lotteries in strengthening player-protection efforts and responsible gaming certifications.
