In October 2020, during a period of active gambling addiction, the presenter documented a complete gambling cycle, including the drive to the casino, the gambling session itself, and the emotional aftermath of loss. This footage remained unviewed for several years. In 2025, after achieving three and a half years of recovery, the presenter recorded a reaction video analyzing their own behavior through the lens of recovery. This presentation features both videos, offering a rare perspective on the mindset of a compulsive gambler during active addiction contrasted with that of recovery. Attendees will observe the progression of gambling disorder in real time and gain insight into the cognitive distortions that perpetuate the cycle of addiction.
