The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into behavioral healthcare is evolving rapidly, presenting opportunities and challenges for healthcare providers. AI has been offered as having potential to improve access to care, enhance clinical decision-making and outcomes, and enhance workflow and efficiency. However, significant ethical issues exist, including bias, misinformation, and privacy concerns requiring clinicians to take a proactive role as many tools are already being deployed in practice. This presentation will review the larger landscape of AI use in behavioral health with particular attention to the delivery of gambling care, considering the growth of the gambling industry’s use of AI.
