Jimmie Hicks III is a dedicated leader committed to responsible gaming, community development, and faith-based service. Since 2022, he has served as the Deputy Director of Responsible Gambling at the Ohio Lottery Commission, where he advocates for responsible play and leads corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives that promote ethical business practices, community engagement, and sustainability. Prior to this role, Jimmie served as Cleveland Regional Sales Manager for six years helping to drive lottery sales and retailer engagement.
Beyond his work with the Lottery, Jimmie is deeply invested in community development as a Board Trustee for his family-operated nonprofit, Start Right Community Development Corporation. Located in the Caledonia neighborhood of Cleveland Heights, Start Right CDC focuses on food security, neighborhood revitalization, and economic empowerment, working to uplift families and strengthen neighborhoods through strategic programs and partnerships.
At his core, Jimmie is a man of faith. He is actively involved in ministry, using his platform to encourage, teach, and serve. Whether through mentoring young leaders, delivering messages of hope, or engaging in outreach efforts, he remains dedicated to faith-driven service that empowers individuals both spiritually and practically.
Jimmie holds a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies with a focus on public relations and event planning from Bowling Green State University and earned his Master of Urban Planning and Development from Cleveland State University in December 2022.
