As sports betting in Ohio legalized in 2023, more Ohioans are engaging in sports betting or other forms of gambling than ever before. The 2022 Ohio Gambling Survey indicated that 18–24-year-olds have the highest percentage of at-risk or problem gamblers, followed by 25-44 years-olds. This session discusses Zepf Center’s partnership with the University of Toledo to increase problem gambling & responsible gambling awareness & outreach efforts to college students & sports fans by providing outreach at the games! We will share the details of our partnership, data from our survey, successes/challenges, & tips/tricks for you to engage with your local colleges.
