Anna Niemczewska, Director of Operations and Finance at Betknowmore UK and the Co-Chair of the UK Charity Working Group on AI, presents a discussion of the considerations – ethical, strategic and practical – that underlie the use of AI in reducing gambling harms and in different therapeutic practices; of the types of AI and their various capabilities and limitations; of examples of how they are currently being used in real-life settings in the US and internationally – and the results of this use, both claimed and real; and of the reasonably foreseeable future developments and applications of AI in this field.
