The incarcerated population has long been known to be at higher risk for problem gambling behaviors. Still, there have been relatively few developed interventions designed to address the unique challenges this population faces concerning problem gambling. This session will seek to share methods currently being utilized in Ohio–from a gambling addiction program with the courts and gambling education with probation court staff members–to gambling prevention classes with the incarcerated population themselves. Considerations for the next steps in the future of this program as well as how we can implement it in our local states or regions will be discussed.
