The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Office of Problem Gambling (OPG), and the California Friday Night Live Partnership (CFNLP) partnered with Betting On Our Future (BOOF), a youth development underage gambling prevention program, to create an innovative approach to state resource development. BOOF empowers youth to raise awareness, challenge social norms, and address environmental factors that contribute to underage and problematic gambling behaviors. By fostering connections between funders and their subsidiaries, the project utilized group think sessions to develop and promote inclusivity within California’s gambling prevention resources while elevating youth voices in shaping the gambling landscape.
