Telehealth is not new in the landscape of treatment for gambling disorder, as most are familiar with phone-based hotlines. One of the many impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown orders was the proliferation of telehealth for the provision of mental health assessment and treatment. Mental health professionals who treat gambling disorder may have a varying degree of training, familiarity, and comfort with utilizing telehealth. This session will review basic best practices in telehealth and explore areas specific to the treatment of gambling disorder.
