Dr. Nathan D. Smith is the founding Executive Director of Kindbridge Research Institute and a leader in behavioral addiction research. A dedicated scientist and communicator, he focuses on practical solutions to complex mental health issues. Dr. Smith travels nationwide to deliver talks, collaborate with experts, and oversee Kindbridge’s projects. He tempers academic insights with insight from people with lived experience of addiction to advance impactful initiatives. Dr. Smith holds a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of Florida, a master’s from Harvard University, and a bachelor’s from Azusa Pacific University. He lives north of Boston with his wife and two sons.
