Dr. Derevensky is Professor Emeritus, McGill University, and has been working as a researcher, clinician, trainer, and consultant in the field of gambling studies for over 35 years. Dr. Derevensky is author of multiple books, book chapters; and peer-reviewed publications in leading scientific journals. He has been the recipient of numerous international awards. He is a member of the International Advisory Panel for the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Alcohol, Drug and Other Addictive Behaviors committee and has consulted with the International Olympic Committee. Along with Dr. Tom Paskus he is responsible for the NCAA gambling study.
