Creativity can be an important factor as we work towards integrating gambling into the behavioral health fabric. Including gambling into a program’s milieu, can often take a back seat to other mental health and substance use disorders. Over the years in Connecticut, we have worked towards finding ways to level the parity, which often includes having some funding and working within the motivation of the system. Through this presentation, we will discuss some of our efforts of working with special populations, that include gambling integration into treatment and recovery settings, regional capacity building, and youth participation through media campaigns.
